Velvet Tonka by BDK Parfums is an ode to one of the beloved perfume ingredients of David Benedek, the perfumer behind BDK Parfums. He describes the Tonka bean as an ingredient full of contrasts; sometimes it is reminiscent of vanilla together with leather, sometimes of almonds, sometimes one even recognizes chocolatey facets.
Velvet Tonka is also a tribute to the Moroccan origins of founder David Benedek and to the typical characteristics of this Arab region.
Velvet Tonka is characterized by the trilogy of tonka bean, orange blossom and almond. Fresh and warm at the same time, the sultry tonka bean is decorated with almond and rose petals for a velvety touch, and with a touch of tobacco absolute to give it a honeyed character. In the base, addictive notes of Milky Amyris wood unfold, enhanced with ambroxan and vanilla absolute, giving it an unparalleled velvety softness and sensuality.

Alexandra Carlin

Alexandra Carlin is een Franse parfumeur die haar passie voor parfumerie op 18-jarige leeftijd ontdekte en formele training volgde aan het ISIPCA in Versailles. Na haar studie werkte ze drie jaar bij Robertet in Grasse en trad in 2007 toe tot Symrise als Junior Parfumeur.

Ze heeft sindsdien gewerkt met prestigieuze merken zoals Amouage en BDK Parfums. Carlin's parfumerie is artistiek, geïnspireerd door literatuur en beweging. Ze vertaalt de sferen uit boeken in haar composities en beoefent paardrijden en Indiase dans.

Gebruiksadvies

Breng Velvet Tonka aan op de polsen, hals, ellebogen of knieholtes. Spray 1-2 keer in de lucht en loop door de ‘parfumwolk’ om je haar te parfumeren. Breng het parfum gerust opnieuw aan gedurende de dag, afhankelijk van je humeur.
